Sterling Silver and Motor Agate Fordite Oval Ring #2064

Lapidary cut, multi-layered Motor Agate (Fordite) cabochon, bezel-set in solid sterling silver, and given a mini-hammered finish with applied sterling ball detailing on the bezel trimming. Light oxidation gives it a warm, vintage vibe. The salvaged and repurposed material set in this piece began as a hunk of cured auto paint overspray that was harvested from a major auto plant many years ago.

This one of a kind piece has a spectacular Type 3, low domed  Motor Agate cabochon; color on color layers with metallics.
