Sterling Silver and Motor Agate Fordite Necklace #2271

Lapidary cut, multi-layered Motor Agate (Fordite) cabochon set in sterling silver. The salvaged and repurposed material set in this piece began as a hunk of cured auto paint overspray that was harvested from a major auto plant many years ago.

This piece has a beautiful and rare, vintage Type 3 Motor Agate cabochon: Color on color layers with metallics.  

This lovely large cab is set in a hand fabricated sterling silver bezel that has been given our signature mini-hammered finish, and is clear resin backfilled on the reverse side for  stability. Hand Signed.

This piece also features a 20" double snake sterling chain, with a coordinating mini-hammered sterling toggle clasp to match the pendant. Wear the decorative clasp visible on the side for added interest, or for simplicity, at the back of your neck.
