Sterling Silver and Motor Agate Fordite Post Earrings #1831

Sorry, This Item Has Been Sold

Lapidary cut, multi-layered Motor Agate (Fordite) matched cabochon squares, set in a pair of one-of-a-kind sterling silver earrings. The salvaged and repurposed material in these pieces began as a hunk of cured auto paint overspray that was harvested as a byproduct of the auto manufacturing industry.

These are beautiful, matched Type 3 Motor Agate cabochons.

The cabs are set in sterling silver bezels with a mini-hammered finish and closed, full bezel backs.

Please note: When worn, these earrings reveal the views of fordite at slight angles when the face is turned, but are not completely visible, straight on. They are shown here in flat side profile, and were designed to be hung withe the cabs facing inward toward the face. The earrings will naturally tilt outward slightly, and offer a peek-a-boo effect! Subtle swank.

Dimensions: 39.5 x 23.2mm.

Cabochon dimensions: 13.5 mm square.
